Lucky y'all! I get 9 days in Nov.

Rod, too.

Been deer season for 2 months in WV- crop damage. Did one at 206 with 6.5/.284 and 76 with .300 Whisper and 220 Sierra RN last night. Today did on at 160 with .308HS, 150 gr. ST and 206 with 200 gr. ETip in .325 WSM. It's almost always deer season here for me.

Pauli--Ladson is Where l hunted as a kid.. From Limehouses Store on Summerville Highway (US 78) all the way to Dorchester Road... All used to be WesVaCo land..Lots of thick Low Country swamp and deer back then. All the deer clubs hunted using dogs and buckshot..lts legal and still done that way in a large part of the Low Country of South Carolina. Up until a few years ago there was no bag limit either..
l flunked out at the Baptist College (Charleston Southern) an got myself drafted for Viet Nam. After that conflict Uncle Sam sent me to Fort Gordon Ga.. Stayed around the Army long enough to retire and have been in the Augusta area ever since..l still get homesick for the Low Country during deer season..Nothing like the sound of a Blue Tick hound on trail of a big buck...

sw282, I lived in Martinez and worked at GIW in Grovetown for nine years. I was a member of a hunting club in Burke county below Augusta. We hunted half of 11,000 acres with dogs and the other half was still hunting. If you know someone in a club down there you may be able to join or visit the club on a daily basis. The deer hunting down there was great. The name of the club was Briar Creek.

I wish you the best of luck.

Here in Connecticut I have to wait until November 18th to hunt with my revolver on private land. Last season I did not get a deer but it was fun .

One big difference is that we had some snow on the ground and I believe the temperature was in the teens when I got up that early Wednesday morning.

It must be very different to hunt deer in the summertime like this.
