 Original contender and jdj calibers

I have a original contender but I am wanting to get a 358 or 375 jdj but was wondering if those calibers would be ok to shoot with my original contender or would the g2 be a little (beefier) for those calibers?

Those were designed around the original Contender platform. Go for it.
Rod, too.

You will be fine with either. Ive had my 358 for years and its one of my favorite calibers. Just remember....HOLD ON TIGHT!

^^ I also shoot a 12" 270 with near max hunting loads so I'm not recoil shy

I had a 358 jdj and loved it. 220 gr sierra game king over AA 2520 powder. Many deer met my freezer with that gun. Sold after 15 years when a guy offered me double what I had in it.

I have a .375 JDJ in 22".. love it! Thumper!

I have been shooting my original Contender frame in 358JDJ since1981. It works great. I have 3 original frames. I like them better than the G2.
