Well I have been wanting a 460 s&w for years now but could never spend the money on one. I sold a super blackhawk the other day and went to the local gun shop and they had one and I had the money... All down hill from there I bought and I am very impressed with this gun, the trigger is sweet it measures 2.5 lbs on my scale, i modify the trigger on every gun I own whether it be springs or polish job but this gun needs neither (even though I might lightly polish with flitz just to get it shiny and a little smoother. I went out and shot it and at 30 yds you could cover up my group with a half dollar. I am very happy with it evn though I didn't need anything more than my 44 mag for hunting! I was planning on putting a scope on it but I think I'm going to see how good I can get with it at 100 yds and go from there. Now it's time to buy dies and work on some loads. I think I'm going to load 300 gr bullets for it

Excellent choice! I highly recommend the Hornady XTP-Mags for it.

No, they're hollow points, but they're built tough.

Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

The idea of needing a new gun is highly over rated. That sets the bar way to high for me. I am perfectly happy getting a new gun just because I want one! Glad you got what you wanted no matter what the justification! This comes from a man that is anxiously awaiting the arrival of a .454 when a .44 has served him well since the 70's. Enjoy!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.
