If you had to take a shot at a 10 point buck sitting at around 175 yard and its the last day of the season.Which would you pick. (ignore scopes and mounts just hand gun alone)

Revolver - 44 Magnum Franken-Ruger (Ruger Redhawk)
Single-Shot SP - Any of my XP's
This is if I have a steady rest.

From a solid rest just about any big bore revolver will make that shot if the shooter is up to the task. I'd probably use my Ruger Bisley 10 1/2" 44 maggie with a 250 Keith slug cast from a Miha mould & pushed by 21 grs of 2400.
With a single shot most experienced shooters could put the shot any place they wanted to at that distance. If I still had it I'd go with my old XP100 in 250 IMP. with an 85 gr. Ballistic Tip.

I would not feel comfortable with the handguns shown. I would not hesitate with a 14" contender or XP100.

My Contender in 7-30 Waters.

Rod, too.

Contender in 30-30 with TAC-TX handloads IF there was a steady rest to shoot from.

This:

(300 Win Mag Encore)

This is the only handgun I would trust myself with to make a 175 yard shot. If I only had the handguns you posted, I would likely just pass up on the shot.

I too would pass up the shot

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

^^^ otherwise, any of my T/C's would do the job.

Could I make the shot, quite possibly. I shoot all my hunting revolvers out to longer ranges than that on steel. Would I, no it's out of my comfort zone [unless]. If I already had a hole in him yes. With a Contender or bolt gun it would depend on which one it was. The 12" Contender in 45-70 with the HUGE red dot no, the Savage bolt action .308 yes .

the last one. i know i cant hit at 175 yards anymore. if i did happen to touch it, the back flies here in Maine would give the deer more of a wound.

Define this better! Are you saying "iron sights only" with the guns you show pics of? Kind of hard to ignore the scope and guess at what the iron sights would be like, as there is a world of different irons... Are you "saying" factory irons only? Do red dots count?

If so, then at 175 yards I would not take the shot.

Your last pic is a hoot!

I wouldn't pick someone's handgun to use in the first place at any distance, unless I knew how accurate it was, what bullet it was using, quality of trigger, where it is sighted in at, it's drops, practiced with it, etc...
With my eyes, not going to be using irons very far.

If iron sights only I'd pass on either one, didn't understand the question.

Nope still out of my comfort zone with a revolver.I shoot steel and rocks at that range with a revolver but not things that bleed.[UNLESS ]I already have a bullet in him from a closer range, then I would shoot again and keep shooting till he was down or gone out of sight. This is just my way and my code. Not suggesting any one else has to follow it.

Still the same for me:
"I wouldn't pick someone's handgun to use in the first place at any distance, unless I knew how accurate it was, what bullet it was using, quality of trigger, where it is sighted in at, it's drops, practiced with it, etc..."

Having said that, If I know the impact velocity of said bullet is sufficient for it to perform, the accuracy of the gun is capable to keep it in the kill zone, I have a good field rest, my physical and mental state is calm enough...Then it wouldn't matter if it was the first day, middle of the season, or the last day...shooting is shooting.

My answer still stands. Unless I had regularly practiced to that range with one of those guns and had a way to rest the gun as steadily as when I was practicing, only then I would take the shot.

All my encores and XPs could do it easily. I am sure my freedom arms generate enough power but it's too much drop for me to estimate so I wouldn't try with a revolver unless I can click it in on my scope and I don't know of too many extended eye relief scope with those kinds of in field capabilities.
