Well the old FF3 gave out on the 41 magnum last Sunday. I had shot one of the best groups I had ever fired, and then it went south.

It started shooting 4" groups at 25 yards and shutting off on each shot. It will no longer turn on now. Back to Burris it will go. They said 6-8 weeks on return.

I'm very disappointed to say the least. I really enjoy this set up, but once something fails; I have a hard time trusting it.
Back to open sights for the next two months!

Well that sux. Were you shooting some real armbender loads then?

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I don't feel I am. 17.5 grains of 2400 behind a 210 xtp for 1350 FPS. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a 6.5" Blackhawk. It's a darn accurate load.

I have had several of the FF3 fail...I have given up on them

Trijicon leupold and cmore all make good units and I haven't had any trouble with them

I wouldn't advise buying one. I don't figure it will hold up attached to the slide of a 1911. I figure that will be dish out more abuse than it can stand.

I love the FF3, but it's not a product I would recommend for a handgun that has significant recoil.

I have had the little lense in front of the "laser" fly out multiple times when slide mounted

Have not had any problems with leupold trijicon or cmore

That ff3 is not anywhere near the quality of the others

I have Fastfire II on a Kimber 1911 10mm. Had to locktite(Blue) and torque the screws to keep it secured. I like it very much on the Kimber and also have one on a 4" 629
