The only new thing I plan on doing is just..Handgun hunting! I've been an AVID bowhunter for 7 years (started when I was 10, Been hooked ever since!) Now I'm lookig for another way to challenge myself. I have been shooting 22 pistols for the longest time squirrel hunting, never anything bigger. I have a Glock 20 10mm that I've been practicing with. I'm limiting my shots to 25 yards and under. No sense in gimping anything up! I never thought I'd say it, but I'm comfortable with my bow TWICE as far as my firearm

It's going to be a journey! I'm shooting UnderWood 180gr XTP's. Anyone see a problem with that? Only until I get the dies for a 10mm, that is.

I took classes from a deer whisper this year, hope it works.

Due to a long story that I will not go into here, this season I am hunting deer and cow elk with my FA .454 Casull instead of my Custom .475 Linebaugh.

Sighting the .454 in a few days ago, with heavy 300 grain Nosler Partition loads
;\)

the screw that holds on the ejector rod housing sheared off. I was able to locate housing and rod but the spring vanished (imagine that)

So I am now hunting with a 5 shot revolver (that is fine!)

that I will not be able to reload very fast

but all you need is one shot and the other four are for gun balance, right?

I may try cast bullet loads for deer.
Thinking about the Penn Thunderhead BB in 250

Id like to put a red dot on my bisley , but may have to wait till next year.
I just hope to get my third whitetail with Mrs Bisley

Dipped my toe in the Trijicon pool recently, placing an RMR on my FA in 475 - haven't sighted it in yet, but I think I'm gonna like it!!!

Which one did you end up with?

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

RH - yes sir, I'll hopefully be launching a 140 at a whitetail or 2 this weekend!

KRal - took a hint from our buddy Darrell and went with the RMR 06, the user-adjustable model

Not a handgun but I'm going out tomorrow to see if I can find an accurate load for my .62 cal smoothbore flintlock. I've had the gun for a few years but never hunted with it or spent any time working up an accurate load. Probably limited to 50 yards for consistent hunting accuracy. That's what I've experienced with my .56 cal smoothbores.

NOW. That's more like it. Seriously, good for you. Never done it myself, did watch a show on it one time, it was tuff hunting. Never did score. Let us know how you do.

As usual I am torn. First choice will be my FA 353 but if I need to stretch it a bit I'll have a few more options.
Encore 7-08 or 375 JDJ
Custom xp 260, or 6.5 wsm
Any number of FA 454s or 44s
Or some other neglected awesome thing that needs some time afield

Bought a Bullberry barrel in .35 Whelen Ackley Improved from a member on another forum. Sent it off to SSK for a Fish Gill Brake. Hope to have it ready for a December Whitetail Hunt, but it is looking more like a next year hunting gun.

Well I was blessed to get the chance to take two deer with my CVA muzzleloader pistol last week end. I am hoping to bloody the Blackhawk this weekend and then later my Redhawk.

Guess I am. ...... its all racksmashers fault. He found me a great deal on a 15 inch encor pro hunter.. shot it for the first time yesterday . I am proficient with it to 50 or so yards but at 100 not so much. I will probably hunt opening day with the 44 hunter. Have a cut cornfield on a small brushlot I will sit on with encore probably thanksgiving.
