Those of you who deer hunt with a 357 mag, where do you sight your gun to hit at 25 yards dead on or one high?

I will be putting the finishing touches on sighting my Ruger Blackhawk in for deer season this afternoon. Right now I have it dead on at 25 yards but I was thinking about changing that to one inch high. I plan to take shots no longer than 75 yards.

I also want to thank everyone who helped me to mount my Ultradot 30 mm correctly. It is holding a zero now.

3 inches high at 50 yds with a 6 oclock hold. 158gr XTP with a near max charge of 296 equals bambi on the barby!

I zero all my revolvers 2" high at 50 yards. This zero will usually be good from muzzle to 100 yards; which is within my revolver hunting capabilities.

Depending on caliber, this usually results in a dead on 25 yard zero or a little lower.

I load a max dose of H110 and a 158 XTP in my GP-100.

I use 180 grain hard cast gas check over 13.5 grains of 2400. I sighted my black hawk dead on at 50 and I was good at 25 and 75 yards
I have moved up to 44 mag this year but with the right bullet the 357 will kill deer all day long.

If your max is 75 yards then sight it dead on at 75, then check at 25,50 and 100 yards, and adjust accordingly. I like the 180g XTP loaded long with a max charge of W296 for my 357 mag.
