I understand a good set of shooting sticks are not a bad idea for hunting. After looking at the prices I said no way... By nature I'm a huge tight wad, penny pincher, coupon clipper, etc

So I made my own... I have a couple single sticks laying around, $5.58 at the hardware store and here it is... Works great

Should work just fine, nice job. I made a pair from an old set of dome tent poles. They are tall enough for sitting or kneeling and fold up in 3 pieces about a foot long for carry.

Rod, too.

Sam,

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but homemade shooting sticks are usually poles or wood, bolted or lashed to form an "X". What you made looks to be a bonfide bipod ;^)

Good job,

I agree with Bearbait, that's a homemade bipod. Some fine craftsmanship, right there.

I've made several out of 3' of wooden 5/8"(?)dowel rod from Ace with rubber chair feet on the ends(one end I put field point arrowheads)connected with the appropriate S hook covered with camo duck tape works great at any height and all positions. About $1.50 in costs. Like the commercial says size doesn't matter here.
