Our buddy Mark Hampton has recently returned from another successful African adventure! He asked me to post some photos for him and I'll let him chime in with the details.

Great photos Mark, it looks like you had another incredible adventure. Congrats!

Thanks for posting Darrell! Just returned from Mozambique where my wife shot a dandy cape buffalo (rifle) and I managed to take an ancient Livingston eland and bushpig. We spent a few days in SA and connected with springbuck, oryx, hartebeest, impala, ect. The main focus on this hunt was my wife's buffalo and working with the 338 Federal. During the hunt -- seven, one-shot kills were experienced using Federal factory ammo with 180 gr. Nosler AB. So far I'm please with the 338 Fed.

Fantastic!! 8 trips to Africa and I've yet to see a bushpig. Many nights of baiting and on stands and you get one in daylight. Unreal.
Way to go Karen. You da "man"!!

Doc, Funny you should mention bushpigs. I shot my first bushpig back in 1983 -- Karen also shot one with a 4 5/8 inch Ruger SBH, both in daylight. Until this trip, I haven't seen one since 1983 -- 27 trips later! The PH told me bushpigs in that area of Mozambique are commonly seen during early morning/late evening encounters.

Thanks for all the kind words. It was worth the trip for Karen to experience a real buffalo hunt -- and to get a 45 incher was icing on the cake.

Gents -- Thanks for the kind works. James, I'm not there yet. The species I took on this trip had been taken previously. Seems like it's getting tougher all the time.

Very, very nice Mark. I particularly like Karen's buff and your bushpig. I wanted one for years, but have been thoroughly skunked. My luck with them reminds me of your early leopard pursuits :-)
