Last Friday I helped my 36 year old son sight in his rifle for deer season. He has killed 80 deer with just about everything except a handgun.
I also took my Blackhawk and Redhawk. I have bought him a Blackhawk for Christmas and he wanted to shoot mine thinking he might use it some during deer season.
He did well but needs more practice before hunting with it.
He has been on me hard about hunting with my handguns thinking that I had just been very lucky to kill deer with them especially when I connected at 75 yards with my Redhawk.
After he finished shooting I took my redhawk with a ultradot mounted on it and shot a three shot group at 25 yards that was one raged hole.
I could not believe it when the first thing out of his mouth was "man you should just hunt with that this year".
I hope by next year I will have a handgun hunter hunting with me.
