I purchased a nib Kimber stainless 10mm. I cannot fire 2 maybe 3 shots in a row. Have change mags, gone to wilson 45acp mags and still no luck. I blacked a round(Factory Hornady 200 gr)and racked the slide. The round has deep indention/scratches on the bottom of the case about 180 degrees from the top of the case. I want to hunt with this weapon but have not confidense in it.
Any Ideas?

I'd say, send it back.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

That is not right. Kimber was good to deal with the 1 time I needed something. I would give them a call.

That's strange. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer.

Wilson makes a dedicated 10mm mag. Why did you use 45 mags?

Years ago I had a Kimber that did the same thing. Sent it back and they told me it was fixed. Took it out, fired the first shot and it did it again. Ended up getting my money back. It was the first and last Kimber I ever owned. Sure hope you have better luck than I did!!

Some years ago my very first 1911 was, of all things, a Kimber Eclipse 10mm. The thing couldn't make it through an entire magazine without jamming up.

I slicked up the slide rails with a little flitz on a cloth and belive it or not, worked like a charm after that... but at that point I was fed up and happily got rid of it.
