As mentioned and seen in my thread regarding my new 4.6" Ruger Super Blackhawk, I completed my new chest rig using 1/4" Plexiglas for the back plate as it is thicker and more rigid than Kydex. Then, instead of webbing, I used the shoulder straps from two flight bags that already had hooks in them.

Well, in that thread, I used an Uncle Mike's holster for my SBH. That worked alright, but the retention strap is not the most convenient.

My plan was to adapt this rig to accept leather holsters for other guns. So, today I cut a 1.5"x4" piece (as opposed to the previous 2"x3" piece) that would fit in the belt loop of both my leather holsters. One for my 4" GP-100

and and the other for my 5.5" Ruger Redhawk.

The back plate fits both holsters perfectly!

And boy howdy! The sumbeach works!!

I now need a leather holster for my 4.6" SBH!

Very nice Zee. There's 2 straps under the right arm and 1 under the left, do you have a picture of the back?

Looks good. I like uncle mike's products, but their snaps combined with the cave style acoustics of their their holster bodies sure make unsnapping LOUD.

Don't have a pic of the back. But, the tan strap goes horizontally around my chest and the green goes diagonally under my right arm and over my left shoulder.

Very nice.... Sometimes you get disgusted with what`s on the market to the point you make it yourself... Next is to get a patent on your creation....

Very nice, but I see no place for my scope or 12" barrel.
