Thanks for posting Darrell! I tagged this MO buck on our farm and 45 minutes later the coyote appeared. The buck was taken at 210 yards with an MOA -- .308 Win. using 150 gr. SST.
I just returned from Kyrgyzstan where I took this 10 year old, Tien Shan argali on the first day. 250 meters with an Encore 308 using 150 gr. GMX.

Nice shootin', Mark. The ole .308 is hard to beat.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Way to go Mr. Hampton! I bought your book not long ago and it quickly became one of my favorites and certainly my go to book for some relaxing down time. Looking forward to your next pics.

Looks like you've been busy - what altitude were you at while hunting the Argali ?

Congrats on the home trophys and the foreign critter! That's argali is gorgeous!
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I'll say it again, the 308 in a single shot is one of the all time classic calibers & Mark you seem to bring out the best in it all over the world, great job once again. Very nice animals & taking coyotes is not easy, trust me! 11,500 ft. Yowee!

Wow! Exceptional animals all round!
And one of my favorite cartridges too. Well done.

Thanks again for all the kind words. Handgun hunting is a special pursuit -- and brings a lot of good people together. I'm most grateful for the experience.
