I know this question has been brought up already but I will ask again. I have a 7.5 bl. scoped BFR revolver and I am looking for a Bandolero holster for it. Leather is my first choice but not my only choice. I have one made by Magnum Research but I do not like how it fits. It is more like a shoulder holster. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I bought this one and really like it. Use it with my Super Blackhawk Hunter.

Well designed and good quality.

Edit: the MSRP is worth a look as well!! Hahaha.

Mike,

I have both the Bandito from Pistol Packaging and the Wyoming Combination holster from Ringler Leather for various scoped revolvers that wear like a tradional bandolero style

Another option is the NW Hunter from Barranti Leather - worn without the chest retention strap, it carries like a bandolier but you have the option to hold it more securely, closer to the body.

Another vote for 7x. Diamond D is good but 7x is far and away the best chest rig I've seen or used.

I agree on PP. If a bandolier holster is preferred, they are as good as any and quite reasonably priced. They will custom fit to your gun if you send a tracing and a few dimensions.

My Pistol Packaging has worked well so far. Did 7X start making holsters for scoped BFR's?

I, like SChunter, have one of Von Ringler's Wyoming Combination holsters.

I have been using it for three or four years now, and enjoy how versatile it is... strong side, cross draw, chest, and shoulder... especially nice because I wear it different when hunting with a large backpack out west versus sitting in a treestand in MN or still-hunting without a pack. It does seem that they went up in price, but on par with other custom leather holsters. only thing I would do different to mine is had Von make it with a suede lining inside.

If you are curious, I got an email from Von a little while back, he was featured on Wyoming PBS on how he makes his holsters. here is a link:

here is his website: http://www.ringlercustomleather.com

FWIW, the 7X holsters look nice too, just do not have any experience with them.

The Pistol Packaging Bandito is a great low cost(figuratively) option. That said I'd love to buy a Von Ringler Wyoming Combination holster.

I have a Wyoming Combo holster as well for my Super Blackhawk Hunter with Match Dot. As BBWheelgunner stated, it is a very nice rig and carries a heavy revolver very well, with or without a pack.

I can't speak to the 7X or other manufacturers but they all turn out nice stuff.

I've had a WyoCombo for years for my scope SBH BisHunter. Great rig. My first review is linked on Vons site.

Dont overlook Mike Barranti's North East Hunter Rig
It carries perfectly.

This is the rig that 7x built for my Ultradot 30 equipped SRH with a 7 1/2-inch barrel. 7x is hard to beat particularly from the price point.
