here is average chrony readings from 140gr factory ammo outta my 15" factory ss 7-08.

Remington 140gr core lokts = 2549fps

Winchester 140gr power points = 2551fps

my reloaded 120gr nosler bt's run 2800fps with 41.5gr of H4895

Interesting info for the data bank. It is always nice to have the option of knowing what factory ammo will work if the need arrises. You done good bud.

i'll add that the 120gr hp factory remington ammo(green/yellow box) runs approximately 2700fps outta a 15" encore barrel.

How was the accuracy on those Rem 120s?
Anything done with Federals?

i'd call it mediocre........bout 1 1/2" groups at 100 were my best that i remember. i would still consider it fine for most eastern deer hunting situations. wish i could say how they perform on deer, but i would expect to get good results if i had to use em.
