Well I finally connected on my first buck with my encore 7-08. Wasn't a monster rack but it's meat in the freezer. He weighed 176 pounds but was only a 3 point. That's just because he was missing the right side of his rack. Shot him at a 124 yards and he went about 30 yards. I am using the Barnes Tipped Triple Shock 120 grain on top of 44 grains of Varget. The bullet went through the right shoulder and took out the lungs and two ribs on the opposite side and kept going. I am very impressed with that bullet. I'm hoping to get a bigger deer this week or weekend! I didn't get any good pics since it was dark by the time we got him out.
