As I wrote in an earlier post, the ejector rod housing screw on my FA .454 sheared off due to recoil. I finally sent it in for repair.

The revolver was returned to me in less than 2 weeks, and the action had been completely gone through in addition to the sheared screw removed, and a new ejector housing spring installed (I never found the original one as it went into orbit
\:\)

They replaced the trigger spring, trippet and spring, and tuned it to a wonderful crisp 2 lb. pull. They completely cleaned it, including all the black markings on the cylinder, etc.

In short, they did a fantastic job, and I have a relatively like new gun now. For what I consider a reasonable $114, plus return postage.

Thank you Freedom Arms, you did me right, as usual!

Sent my new to me 83 back, the firing pin broke, the gun shot inconsistent, John the gunsmith is a great guy, and returned all of my phone calls the same day, the folks at Freedom Arms are good people, they got my gun up to spec.

Just before leaving for my first African hunt I also broke the firing pin on my early 454. They did not have the removable firing pin bushing and had to be drilled, tapped for the new system. Explained my problem and the gun was fixed and returned in three days.....

I also have had good results dealing with FA. John has been a constant source of information and help. Great bunch of people there from the Lady that answers the phone to the gunsmith.

Yep. Hard to find folks better than Bob and John! They are helping me with one right now that was totally an operator error issue from its original owner. Awesome service!!!!

Good to hear!

I went to their shop to buy some bullets and had my gun with and explained that some of the brass would just barely hang up on the rim. Bob himself came out of his office and looked at it and took my cylinder in the back room and smoothed out a couple burs that were on the ratchet. pretty cool when the owner of the company can take care of you on the spot like that!
