I was wanting to know if any of you folks had tried to shoot a cci .44 spl shot shell in a .45 colt? Will it work? Just trying this before I try it because they don't give these shotshells away nowdays.

Why would you try it? Sounds like you are looking for a problem on purpose. Not a good idea at all.

Make your own shot loads. 7 - 8 grains Unique or other fast shotgun powder with an over powder wad cut from a cereal box. Fill case with #9 lead shot (or#8). Cover shot with 2 cereal box wads and a heavy crimp. 2 thick coats of nail polish will seal the wad in place. This holds more shot than the plastic capsules.

I've loaded .357 snake shot but instead of cardboard, I used copper gaschecks. Worked great, and the gaschecks were extra projectiles in the payload
