I am still shopping for a scope mount for my 8 3/8" 460XVR. Any input on the Warne, Weigand or other options?

I went with Warne and never had any issues.

I really studied my options for mounts and I decided to go with the Weigand WEIG-A-TINNY X-frame mount and 3 Weigand rings. Rugged steel. 8 slots, Looks good. Once I get it assembled I will post a pic.

Hunting update. I took a whitetail doe last Sat with my 460. 240gr. XTP mag bullet over 47 grains if H-110. 40 yards broadside shoulder - bang - flop. Instant kill. Full penetration.

I hunted 2 days in Potter Co and did not see a deer. I got my deer in Mifflin Co. But the population there is down too.

billa----l used to hunt Potter County/Coudersport during bear season back in the late 80s, early 90s..Weekend before Thanksgiving in that beautiful country along the PA/NY border.
