well im sure everyone read about the runaway buck. I went back to the same stand on a doe day and around dark thirty a doe visited the corn pile. after calming down the nerves(its like starting hunting all over again)and clearing the last incident out of the ole mind. i steadied the aim, the deer was actualy quarting towards me and wouldnt move and with daylight fading quickly i fiqured id go for a neck shot,because if i hit the mark it would be a quick down,and if i missed it would be a complete miss. the shot was perfect. The bullet went in the neck and actually exited the right arm "pit" area. the doe dropped in her tracks with out even a twitch. thanks for all the input on the miss im sure it helped in me taking my first handgun trophy.P.S. Im at the fire station working right now and the smell of jerky cooking slowly in the oven is in the air.-

The harvesting of the doe,is probably the best thing that could happen to you. Especially after your last incident with the buck.
