I figured I would post a couple pics of a job I'm doing since its shooting related. The customer told me the height he wanted and he wanted it to be ambidextrous and told me to build it how I thought since he knows that I like to shoot. Oh yea and he said he wanted it to be heavy :)... NO PROBLEM! The stuff I tend to build is over kill so that was exactly what I wanted to hear. Anyways here are a couple pics of it so far, I still have to do the swivel seat on the back pipe and add a top which is going to be 3/4" hardwood plywood that he is going to get from one of his buddies. Thanks for looking

That is the definition of hell for stout! Can't wait to see the seats ;-)

Looking good! Only thing I can see extra to do is box in the front of the rear leg support to keep out wasps and varmits. What are the dimintions by the way?

Junebug what do you mean box in the front?
Dimensions are- Height- 35" after the top is added Width -6' Depth- 48"
I am going to build my self one one day similar but it's going to be a lot heavier. I'm going to put a flat plate where the frame top is and angle iron all the way around and concrete

The plate the rear leg is welded to will form 2 open boxes 18 in? deep when you put the top on. Looks to be a perfect place for hidden wasp nests, varmits, right under your arm .Really nice job on the table. Please take some more pictures when finished.

Just an old man being paranoid. Wasp stings seem to hurt more now than they did. That table should weigh 400 lb or so? Should be nice and stable.Plenty of room for another shooter or chrno.

Concrete top would be more durable and stable than wood. Build a plywood form and pour it at least 4'' thick. Seal it with varnish after 30 days curing.. Should last to Y3K :-)

The Missouri Conservation Range near me has a swiveling seats on the back post. They work pretty well. It should be nice when done. We still have 2 wood portable benchs at the Sportsman's Club. With vertical edges, Wasps will build under them. We have 32 concrete bench tops on blocks, no wasp problems with no hang down edges.
Good job.

I finished the seat I like the vintage look of the tractor seats so that's what I used. I made the seat to swivel for left and right handed shooters. He wanted the seat to be fully adjustable so it adjusts up and down also I think it turned out pretty nice
