With a threat of rain today we headed out in search of our 3 "amigos" Rock Chucks, Ground Squirrels & Badgers. Myself, 2 grandson's & one of their buddies. The squirrels were everywhere, trying to get that last mouth full before the big sleep. Ended up with 129 squirrels, 3 rock chucks & one very nice badger before rain flushed us back home. Fun day with the boys, & as always more reloading to do. This is a very nice mature badger & goes to a forum member, throw your name in the hat & we'll pick a winner in a day or two. He's a dandy. Very nice outing! I really want one of those badgers for my trophy room, but I want to punch the hole in it myself 😎. Great gesture, Dick!
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

KRal, we have lots of badgers but its always hit or miss whether you will see one or not. You always see lots of sign because there are so many ground squirrels in this country. But, the problem is, they are low to the ground & very wary, if they are in the brush or rocks you have no chance, you just have to catch one out in the open & hope to get a shot. But again, find ground squirrels & you will find badgers, shooting one is another thing! I've chased them for years & they have chased me....many times.
