How do you carry your Ruger SBH Hunter w/scope in the field. I just got one in 45LC, 7.5" brl, w/2x6 Simmons scope. I'm working up a load for it this week for gun season here in OK in three weeks. Need holster or sling, whichever is best. Thanks

Mike

I use a bandorler style holster from Uncle Mike's w/ my scoped SBHH. I believe it is a #4 (size). I have 7.5 in barrel. It is very comfortable holster.
Hope it Helps,

I use an Uncle Mike's #4 Sidekick shoulder holster. I always replace the loud "snap" closure on these with a plastic buckle and a 3/4" nylon strap that I sew to the muzzle end of the holster. This makes it silent when you remove your gun. The "snap" sounds like a you just fired a .22 on a quiet day in the woods.

I have looked at the #4 and whatever the TC shoulder holster is. Both will work for me. I took one of the TC holsters and got the straps adjusted for me them put a few stitches in them to keep them from slipping. Then I didn't like the way the holster kept moving back under my arm so I got some black flat webbing strap and stitched a piece to the under side of the holster. Them I went across my chest to the other side and stitched a buckle to it and I can pull the strap across my chest and velcro it and everything stays in place. The Ruger SBH w/scope fits right into the rig and carries well. Thanks for the help.

First time on, probably screw it up, but..........
check out Passport Sports Inc. Nylon bandolier hunting holster R8S. Works well w/ my SBH and 2-6 Elite, plenty of attachment points.
