Has anyone had any experience with Federal Fusion 240gr. 44 mag on deer? Thought good or bad.

Not exactly the 44 mag, but I've used it in several other rifle calibers and it has always done great!

I think SCHUNTER used it on either a deer or a boar maybe 2 years ago? In either a 44 or 454

Also looking into Barnes Vor-tx 225gr. Any thoughts on this one?

A couple of seasons ago I used the Barnes Vor-tx 140 gr in my 357 to drop a doe in her tracks so the 44 mag version should work great.

Big Todd,

Franchise is correct - I used it with success out of the Casull several years ago on both deer and hogs.

Here is a picture of a recovered bullet from a lengthwise perforated hog - I didn't chronograph the load, but "box" ballistics showed it moving at low-to-moderate speeds for the Casull
