Hello guys. Say I'm trying to help a friend sell his T/C. It is a Super 14 in 7-30 Waters, Stainless with a muzzlebreak. It has a second barrel(blued) in .22 LR.. Has a Burris scope, and comes with reloading dies, case, and 6 boxes of reloads. A local gun shop only offered him. $475.00 for everything. I'm thinking that's way too low. The gun is in great shape, and has "low miles". Any thoughts?

Of course it's low...the gun shop wants to get it cheap and resell it for a handsome profit. He needs to sell it to an individual so he doesn't lose too much money. The frame alone should be close to $300 and the barrels around $200 each.

The reloads are basically worth the price of the components as most folks will not shoot another's handloads. He would get more for it if he parted it out. Which Burris scope? Value is somewhere between $750 and $1000 depending on the scope and whether selling as a package or individually.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

use frame is worth about $300.00
Barrel if a desirable one is worth between $150-250.00 used.
Scope about 50% of retail unless it is a Leupold, Trijicon or Ziese.

You can't fix stupid!

The scope is a Burris 1.5-4. Talked to my buddy, and he would like to get $600.00 for everything. I guess I should move over to classifieds.
