A gunsmith friend had a 1917 .45 barrel that had 6 in it .You could count them thru the split barrel side.

I don't know how but it survived. Got all three bullets out with no apparent bore damage. I was expecting some swelling.I shouldn't give it back.........

That's both amazing and downright scary.

This one still takes the cake, though:

Wow! I would have had to cut that one up as well.

How did you get them all out? I figure it would be relatively easy to tap one out with a hammer and dowel rod, but certainly not three.

I remember years ago shooting up some 38spl "free reloads" for the brass with my friend and his dad, in my Dan Wesson. During my friends dad's turn, he fired the gun: "pow!,pow!,..poop!.."
My friend and I both yelled "Woah!stop!" simultaneously but it was too late. "kapop!"
Unfortunately the 1st squib stuck, and he laid another in behind it.
It didn't hurt my barrel luckily as they were so mild, but it was a learning experience.
The DW at least was easy to take apart and un-stuff!lol

With three in the pipe you drill the front one and take a long skinny punch to tap out the back two. Since the front bullet was protruding it couldn't be driven out so yo insert a piece of 10/24 threaded rod through the hole and put a backing plate on the breach face. You thread the rod through a rod coupling and rotate the rod until the coupling contacts the back of the bullet. Turning the rod pulls the coupling forward and the end of the rod spins on the backing plate so the gun isn't damaged. The bullet is simply pushed out from behind. This isn't for a novice unless you have watched someone do it. If your not careful you can damage the bore. 1/4" copper couplings will work on a .357 bore to sleeve it to keep the rod off the sides.
