I had the same problem with my SBH Hunter in .44. I used lock-tite on the threads. I haven't had any trouble since.

I Hope This Helps,

If your are talking about your scope moving forward during recoil, I would try cutting a piece of black electrical tape to fit inside the top half of the rings. If thats not enough do the bottom halves to.

If the dimensions of your scope allow it, position the scope forward, so the turret housing contacts the the front ring. It will be impossible for the scope to walk in the rings.

If your talking about the rings loosening where they mount to the dovetails on the frame I've never experienced that condition and have no cures for that.

if it's slippin in the rings........friction pads inside the rings will cure it. sticky back label works perfect. cut to fit inside top n bottom halves, and it will not slip anymore.

I would try the friction pads first and make sure you check the screws after the first couple of rounds they have a tendency to loosen at first then hold. If that fails you can switch to the Weigand mount and then be able to use any scope ring you like. Hope you get it figured out.

I mounted a 4X Leupold on my SRH in 480 with the Ruger rings. Afte about 20 rounds I noticed it moving so I tightened the screws down. Then sometime later (100 rounds or so) I noticed the scope moving again. I tightened some more. After that I checked the rings on a regular basis and it hasn't moved.
