I have a SRH with a FF3 (I don't use the hood). I'm currently using a vertical belt holster as either traditional or cross draw carry. I'd planned on ordering a Simply Rugged sourdough with the Chesty Puller straps.
Here's my problem; I hunt frequently out of climbing stands and always wear a full harness. The traditional carry holster gets caught up on the seat and frame regardless of which side it's on. The Chesty rig, and I'm guessing most other shoulder mounted holsters will not play well with my safety harness.

Does anyone else have or had this issue and what or how can I fix it? I'm not a fan of carrying it around in my pack but right now I'm low on options.

I put my safety harness on at my truck and slip my bandito rig over it; I never have an issue with it.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I wear my harness under my jacket, and have my cross draw holsters on a separate belt that can go over the jacket. Then I can just position it where ever it needs to be.

Ditto on what Junebug said.. I do the very same and seems to work out just fine, even with my Nikon's and the Bino-system.

I wear a rock climbing harness for safety harness and a chest rig for my holster, works great.

When I am stand hunting I normally don't use a holster. I just put the gun in my field bag. After I get in the stand I just put it in my lap

I went a totally different route. I carry my hunting handguns in a Boyt Contender case. Add D's to the handles (Total of 4). Then I add a removable strap, and carry the pistol cased like a Muzzleloader Possibles Bag, "Cross Chest". If stalking unzip the case a little so that you can draw out of the end.
When I get to my ladder stand I attach the case to my 550 Cord Gear Rope and pull it up along with my gear bag.
Simple, reasonably inexpensive, and it works well for me.
