Any of you hand gunners get a deer gun season. I saw one doe that was carrying the mail. so no shot. That was it for me. How did anyone do. Will be out for the 2 day week-end hunt next week.

I filled 3 whitetail doe tags in WY in October. One each with a different caliber, and 2 different platforms, Encore and Striker. .243, 414 Supermag and 6.5 Rem mag.

Then back here at home I got a 9 point whitetail with the 414 SM. Been packin the 357 Max since then but haven't touched it off yet. I've got 2 more antlerless tags.

Our ML/handgun season runs Dec. 24-Jan. 3 and I hope to punch my remaining tags with the Max and 50 cal. ML Encore pistols.

I got a doe with my 300 Win Mag Encore the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It's been kind of a slow season for me.

I killed this two year old eight point with my Optima V2 muzzle loading pistol during our muzzle loader season.

I have passed on several small bucks and does since then looking for Mr. Big but have not fired another shot yet.

It has been a slow season here too. I killed two does with my crossbow the first week of the season and have passed on seven bucks during black powder and gun season but not near as many deer sightings as normal. It was hot and dry during the rut with a bumper crop of acorns which makes the hunting tuff.

Nice deer guys. Way to go. We got a two day season this week end, but looks like bad weather on the way. So may not get out.
Got a 4 day muzzle loader season in Jan for Ohio. May give it a go then. Our deer herd is not too good this year. A lot of hunter are upset not seeing deer.

I can understand that im not even old but im nowhere near as tolerant of cold as I was 10 years ago. Good luck to you as well im gonna hit it at some point more if the wife doesn't mind.
