Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with the Whitt Machine clamp on muzzle brakes? I'm not sure what I think about clamping something on the end of my barrel.

I have two. One on a savage model 12fv 22-250 and one on my Striker pistol in 6.5 x 47 lapua. While some may talk them down I find they reduce recoil significantly and I have suffered no loss of accuracy. I can now see my hits and misses with the 22-250 rifle and using my vortex viper scope on the striker is not a problem. Get them on one of the holiday 25% off sales. If the need arises I would not hesitate to buy another.

They work.
If your bore is off-center, it can be a problem.
I prefer a threaded brake
