Hello. I'm looking for suggestions on various handgun hunting related books, or others of interest to handgun hunters.
I've got two- 'Hunting For Handgunners' by Jones/Kelly, and 'Handgun Hunting' by Hampton.
Several others of interest are the two big bore handgun books by Taffin. I've yet to buy the Bowen book. Any others?~~~Suluuq

There is a book by Ron Sabo that is called "Long Rnage Pistol Handbook", it is very good and has a hunting section. Also, Clair Rees wrote a Handgun Hunting book.

"Handgun Hunting" by George Nonte/Lee Jurras

Skeeter Skelton has a couple books out, "Hoglegs Hipshots and Jalapenos", "Good Friends Good Guns Good Whisky". Seems like there is another but can remember.

Elmer Keith also has some books too, "Hell I was There", and "Sixguns".

There is also a very good one called Successful Handgun Hunting by Phil Johnson. I think I have total of 5 books on the subject.

Thank you all for the responces. I'll check into obtaining some of these books.
I'm sort of new to handgun hunting, having only shot one squirrel with a revolver, many years ago. I've owned a Lone Eagle (308 and 223 barrels), and several 44 mags, one 357, and a 22 mag, in years past.
Currently I own a Bisley hunter (unfired yet) and a Silverhawk 45LC that I load heavy for bear fights. I'm currently in the market for a 22LR revolver. I've chosen the Taurus M970. ~~~Suluuq

If you do a search for handgun hunting on Amazon.com. You will find there is a sale on Mark Hampton's Handun hunting the World, it's only $2.19. The shipping will cost you more than that. Heck that's cheeper than any combo at McDonalds. LOL and much better for you too

Although I'm not sure if Mark has multiple books but I do have one writen by him.
My favorite, and one I look over on occasion, esp. the small game hunting chapter, is the Kelly-Jones book. It would be nice if this one were updated, with more info on the JDJ wildcats, and more of Kelly's hunting stories. ~~~Suluuq
