Hope you enjoy this pic of a scoped Ruger Mark 1 w/ full flap holster. This pistol was handed down from my father. He ordered the Bianchi holster custom made after reading a Guns and Ammo article about the Ruger w/ Bushnell "Phantom" scope. Way back about 1969.

This pistol and scope combo is still "minute of squirrel" accurate and the Bianchi holster has protected well these many years.

TKG, aye, now that is a piece of nostalgia! I love to see those old rigs. Reading through Nonte & Jurras' "Handgun Hunting" you see pics like that.

Older contenders with 30 Herrett or 256 Win Mag barrels with Phantom scopes and the older grip and forend styles are like that as well. AND as you say, they still get the game
