I came across the website for A E Nelson holsters and am interested in their shoulder holsters. http://aenelson.hostcentric.com/product_info.php?cPath=73_74&products_id=212

Has anyone had in experience with these? How is their quality?

Apparently a four generation saddlery/leather business which moved into law enforcement leather in the 1970's. Law enforcement contracts doesn't always mean good quality or design but it can be a good indicator.

I'm looking for a rig to carry a heavy revolver in the field but I've never liked chest rigs (purely personal choice, they work great for many people).

I've seen similar. For the money I think the Bandito rig is a little more versatile. People rave about them.
