I'm left handed, but right eye dominant. I've always shot long guns right handed and pistols left handed until a few years ago when I transitioned to right only with everything.

That changed as of last week. Handling my new Encore just seemed to feel better in the left hand ... snap cap dry firing convinced me to give lefty a shot. While I believe my MGM barrel and load helped a great deal, I'm certain returning to Southpaw was a great part of the good groups I shot Saturday.

Anybody else change hands and see groups tighten? Practice with both hands?

I shoot handguns only left but long guns I can shoot both left and righty but prefer lefty....

Now if I could just go back to not needing reading glasses.....

I am also left handed/right eyed but can't shoot worth a hoot with my left hand. Grew up shooting righty and never felt the urge to try the other. Don't know why, it just seemed natural to me. Maybe it was just because I mimic'd my Dad.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I am the same as y'all. Right eye dominant but left handed. I shoot rifle right and pistols both, but carry my duty pistol (LEO) on my left side. I shoot my scoped Specialty Pistols right handed most the time unless set-up/shot requires or benefits from left.

Well I am left handed . I see a little better out of my right eye do to an injury.Growing up I was forced to do most things right handed. Damn penguin. I am stronger right handed but fine motor stuff I'm more comfortable left handed. When I had to start wearing glasses the correction made my left eye stronger. That said I shoot shotgun and rifle equally well either hand.Handgun slight edge to the left hand. I prefer to shoot left handed.

I switched to right hand cause I felt I shot better with my Glock that way ... also the ease of finding accessories. I suspect I'll continue to shoot the Glock that way, but everything else will be left hand across to right eye.

l am left handed, but lost my left eye to an injury. 40+yrs since

l had to adapt in many ways.. Went to shooting rifle Right Hand..

The transition was GREAT, painless, simple..Reason was l had an

old NRA lnstructor teach me to properly shoot a rifle from the

first day.. No bad habits to break. No lessons to relearn..l am

GOOD with a rifle...

l still shoot a handgun left handed tho. Not so good with it:(

Have tried it right handed. lt feels awkward and unsafe..

Maybe if l could find another good NRA lnstructor my troubles

would disappear. ALONG WITH MY MISSES TOO:-))
