So I broke down and got a factory 223 contender last week to play with last week. I'm was out sighting it in when this guy made the unfortunate decision to scamper across the range.

The fiocchi 50 gn vmax work well. The 68gn match kings do not stabalize. Recoil is mild, but enough to make you loose the target in the scope. No watch No watching the acrobatics.

Nice shootin'

Rod, too.

Nice shot. I have a 12 inch 223 barrel for my encore. It also loves the Fiocchi with the 50 grain V-Max load. I bought a bunch of these on sale about 5 years ago, and paid less than what 223 brass sold for.

He was only about 60 yards. Only about 15 shots through the barrel at the time.
I shoot a lot of the fiocchi through my rifle, and was happy that this seems to like it too. I don't think I got it as cheap as ruger did, but for under $0.40 a round for a good p-dog round that's shoots sub moa, it can't be beat.

Excellent shooting Karl. BTW I bought several boxes of the Fiocchi in the 50 gr VMax. In my 223 pistols I have found that the 50 grain works best. Yes I still handload but if I am able to grab something as cheap as these for Pdogs and coyotes, them I am happy to do it.
