I heard the new BFR's have a bisley style grip frame. Mine has the old plow handle grip. Wondering if I can put a bisley grip on my BFR and how much it might cost.

Here's the new grip. It is now an option so it should bolt right up: And a nicer photo for the sake of aesthetics:

Oh, dear. I sure wish you hadn't shown me that.

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Max Thanks for the pics and the info. That grip looks like it would be roomy even with gloves on. ( NO knuckle Buster)

I looked at `em and handled `em and they're right comfy but I don't see why they call it a Bisley.

It's just their interpretation- just like Ruger, an interpretation. I can imagine they struggled naming their new grip.

Whitworth, how much difference do the new grips make when you touch a round off? Are they an improvement?

Here is a picture of the new rubber grip (bottom) Vs original (top). I like the newer still better especially with gloves. The new style is screw-less, they use a T-Wedge tool (supplied) to remove them.

They're a huge improvement over traditional Hogue or Pachmayr grips but the micarta was much more comfortable for me than the new rubbers.
