I have been collecting since I got divorced and sold my house and I ended up with 2 357's, a 41, 4 44's and 2 45's for hunting/shooting not including my concealed carry guns and a couple 22's. I am contemplating thinning the herd and getting back into reloading with a Dillon square deal press. The problem is I can't decide which caliber I like the best! And it would be nice to just reload and shoot one load in one caliber. Deer and antelope is all I hunt anymore so after much thought I don't need to go bigger. I like the 45 colts and one is a convertible vaquero which shares the 45 auto with my 1911, but I have a LOT of 44 magnum ammo. The 357's would be ok but it's a little small for my only caliber. 41 is fun to shoot but harder to find brass and ammo and I really don't need it. I am curious as I know some of you guys own a lot of different calibers, should I narrow down to one caliber and concentrate on it or keep the variety? 44 is so versatile I would be ok with it and their are a couple more 44's I would like to own.

That decision is up too you and only you as to how many different calibers in wheel guns you want to keep.
But I will say this...If I were still living back in the lower 48 and where I grew up...A .357 would serve me well...Add in a .22 for good measure.

One 44 mag and a couple of 357 mag. It just depends on what you want to do.

That is a tough decision. I think for myself if it came down to it, I would have to keep a 44 mag and a 22 cal. I believe you can pretty well make do with these two.

I'm not one to keep stuff that doesn't get used. I now have a Bisley 45 Colt 6", 357 Mag 6", and a 38 Special snubby. I have had a 41 Bisley Hunter and a 480 SRH but the 45 did all that they could do so and was handier so down the road they went. The 357 is pretty much a house gun, but I will carry it as a woods backup at times. I have a 22/45 pistol so no need for a 22 revolver, or I would have one.

Let's see. . . I've got a 357, 38, 41, and 460.

If, I narrowed it down to one choice - 357 Magnum.
What I have: 38 Special/357 Magnum, 44 Special (Old S&W, nostalgic/gift), and 44 Magnum.

If, I narrowed it down to two choices: 357 Mag and 44 Mag.

Once I get into July this year, I will see if my choices are the same-I expect they will be.

17 hmr, 22lr, 38 special, 357, 41 mag, 44 mag, 45 colt, 454 casull, at one time. A 475 linebaugh, 460 smith, 500jrh, had a 500 line, 500 smith and 480 ruger. 41 on up i load or loaded for all of them from 41 on up. Consolidate powders. Titegroup, hs6, h110 is really all u need. 3 44's, 9 454's and 2 460's 2 41's. The rest i own just one
