Here's a better photo to ponder: Damn. Ok, I need an opinion. Should I get the 6.5" or 4.6" gun in this cartridge? I already have the 6.5" in .454 Casull. But then, I already have a 4.6" in .44 Mag and a 5.5" in .45 Colt. So, "need" has nothing to do with it. Either barrel length will be used for a hunting gun. Which one do you suggest?

not that it helps, but a gun in the hand is worth two in the lgs Which is a real consideration as to why I'm tempted to jump on the 6.5" when it comes in today or tomorrow. Who knows if or when my LGS will ever get a 4.6" barrel. :panic:

You know, I like 'em both. I just shot this one and while I have a long way to go to get familiar with it, it shot pretty well. This group was shot off the bench at 20 yards with Speer 325 grain Gold Dots.  I like both barrel lengths to be honest.

Well, I bit on the 6.5" barrel.   She is in "purgatory" now until I get her out. I'm happy. They said they still have the short barreled one on back order as well. And will advise me when it arrives. Ouch! That's gonna hurt.
