No great tales to tell; just wanted to make sure it went "BANG" ! Would not eject the fired cases - I cleaned the bolt face well and it ejected the next three cases; so I hope the problem is solved. Don't have a scope on it yet and hope to get the base and rings for next week. Really anxious to try it. Now the saving for the HS stock begins ! Almost forgot - those of you that shoot the 221 Fireball, what are your favorite loads ? Would appreciate it.

Kewl!! My .222 Remmy does not always eject the spent cases but I kinda like it that way. Since I do mostly bench work I can pick the case from the chamber rather than trying to catch it before it hits the ground.

Still waiting to shoot the 7mm!! Hopefully today.....

Rupe, I was wanting a small caliber centerfire so I ordered a 14" Fox Ridge .221 Fireball Contender barrel and received it the end of May.

I mounted a Burris 10x AO scope on it and the barrel just absolutely drives tacks.....I've got a 18 round 100yd target in the garage where all the holes can be covered with a nickel.

I'm loading; Rem. brass, Rem. 71/2 BR primers, 17.9grs of AA1680 and a 40gr Sierra #1440 Blitzking with a OAL of 1.963.
