Looks like a great start to a custom 500 Maximum or 500 Magnum. The frame and cylinder aren't as long as the current models, and it will accept the Ruger Bisley grip frame. Should be an easy re-bore / re-barrel, and pick your grips and sights.

Wish I had the funds to do it, but since I don't, maybe someone else here might be interested.

Nice gun! I think you could use trimmed .45-70 brass in it also. Might be a fun round just as it is. My 454 Casull BFR has a DM serial number. I'm guessing it was made by them for Magnum Research?

Good illness to have! If its the same as the DM serial number BFRs then SBH grip panels should fit it. My older BFR wears after market SBH panels.

I checked on it this morning, and it's sold. Please tell me someone here bought it, as I'd like to see how it turns out.

I wish I could have bought it, but it's better this way. Probably saved my marriage, and now I don't have to live in a van down by the river. :-)
