I see a lot about this on social media pages. Has anyone experienced this? I wanted to come to the experts for the final answer.

I've not seen it with the Encore, but have with the Contender.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Good to hear that. I bought the Encore specifically for the ability to handle bigger cartridges.

I'd say frame stretch is not common with the Encore.

However, I do think it's entirely possible to stretch an Encore frame by running hot loads in the larger diameter cases (ie - belted magnums).

Even in the Encore, it's still limited compared to a bolt gun. That's one reason the Ultra Mags and WSM's are offered in the Encore.

MGM recalled all their barrels chambered in the WSM/Ultra Mag chamberings.

Best to stay with the '06 case head even on the Encore if you plan to push the pressure limits.

Regards,
Rog
