The .22 rimfire: the most popular cartridge of all time. Millions of guns sold in that caliber, billions of rounds produced. More people own a .22 than any other caliber by far.

So let's show our .22 handguns! I will start with mine.

Of these single action revolvers, the top one is a 6 1/2" Heritage Rough Rider with a custom frame; the next one is the same but with a 4 3/4" barrel; and the bottom one is the tried and true workhorse: my Ruger Single Six convertible stainless .22 sporting a 5" barrel.

These semi-autos are, clockwise from top: a Beretta 92FS with an Optima 2000 Red Dot sight in a custom mount; a Browning 1911-22 model commemorating John M. Browning wearing a J-Point Red Dot sight in a custom mount; and the last one is also a Browning 1911-22 called the "Black Label."

Here's my well worn old Single Six. A previous owner added the Micro Sight. the second picture is the holster it rode in for many years. I bought a used right handed holster for $5 and reversed and restitched it. We were poor back in those days. It was my trapline gun when I was trapping coyotes in Eastern Washington. Its killed a lot of them.

The second is a recent addition. A Bisley Single Six with a fluted cylinder. Quite a rarity with the fluted cylinder I'm told.

Beautiful guns Gregg! I've always liked the look of brass grip frames.

Thank you pab1.

The frames are actually factory frames. My taxidermist/gunsmith friend Chuck has an "in" with the factory and buys frames direct. He came up with a proprietary method of refinishing them to where they resemble brass almost perfectly!

I have pics in the Bragging Board section of the site. Can they be transferred to the other forums (Handgun Hunting, Shooters Bench, etc)?

Sorry, not trying to interrupt the .22's thread.

I use the bragging board exclusively. You can post pictures from there in your posts here in the forums. It's a little confusing to learn, but easy once you get the hang of it.

I have two .22's
The first is a Colt with both LR and Mag cylinders that my son loves to shoot. I often thought of selling it, but my son(17) said NO WAY, your saving that one for me!!

The second is what I call my perfect packing pistol. A standard pre warning new model Single Six with a 4 5/8" barrel. I had a Super Blackhawk Thumb spur cut and welded to the hammer, added a steel ejector rod housing and a steel grip frame. I carry this more than any other I own. Usually in the magnum configuration. Riding horses, running beagles, backpacking, woods bumming, camping, trapping, it always gets the nod. During hunting season, I power up a little to my .32 mag with a longer barrel for the incidental fox or coyote I might run across while rabbit hunting with the beagles.
