Hello All-
I'm a newb to this site and I'm looking for some help.
I've got a Ruger SRH with a 7.5" barrel scoped with a Loopy 2X20. I've been toting it through the woods in an Uncle Mike's nylon bandolier-style holster, but the thing's just too bulky and ungainly.
What I've been looking for- with absolutely NO luck- is a belt-hung, leather holster that will accommodate.
Does anybody have any thoughts or advice??

Welcome to the site! I don't care for bandolier style holsters either.

Have you done any leather work? Its not too hard to make a holster. This is what I do for my scoped handguns. With the belt openings it can be worn either strong side or cross draw. It looks bulky but its pretty comfortable. Worn cross draw its not in the way getting in or out of a vehicle. I've made them for barrel lengths up to 7.5 inch. Much more comfortable than a bandolier IMO.

Pistol Packaging makes holsters for scoped wheelguns. They can be used with their Bandito Belt or on your belt:

They will alter for your gun as well.

What I've done for about all my scoped revolvers is to buy an Uncle Mike's synthetic holster for the revolver. Then I cut the top strap enough for the revolver to fit in (leaves a gapping hole in top strap).
Then I buy a piece of artificial leather at a fabric store.
Then, I take it to a seamstress in town and have here sew the "leather" on both sides and at the objective to the holster.
I did this initially to save weight on my African flights (heavy leather holsters). It's worked so good that's all I use on all my scoped revolvers and scoped Ruger MKII and MkIII.
These holsters don't look as pretty as the leather ones on HH, but they are extremely functional.
My original one was for a 7 1/2" FA .454. Had it for 15+ years. Now I have them for 8" DW .44, Ruger SuperRed .454, FA .475 (with UltraDot), S&W 6" .600 (UltraDot), 10" Taurus .500, 10" MK II & III.
I love them. They've held up in Africa, AZ,UT, AK, OR, FL, CO.

I have a couple banditos. I use the same chest rig and change out the bullet holder and holster for several of my scoped guns.

Use a uncle mike with a sock pulled up over the top edge of holster and tacked in place. Not pretty but its quiet
