I seen a new stainless Ruger Blackhawk in 10mm with an auxiliary cylinder in .40 yesterday, didn't know they were making them.

Ya Ruger recently brought it back.

Rod, too.

always kinda wanted one of the old ones with the .38-40 cylinder but the last one I seen was $1500! I bet the new ones will sell pretty well.

$1500 ??? Wow I guess I'm glad I got my Buckeye 38/40 - 10mm Blackhawk for $500. A long time ago I picked up an old model vaquero that was chambered for 40 s&w, fun to shoot, and originally had wanted to have the chambers reamed for 10mm, but picked up the buckeye shortly after and never got around to doing much with the vaquero.

Choot em!

For $500 you got a steal! I seen the one for $1500 last month at the Tulsa show, I don't know if there getting that for them but that's what they were asking. I seen one without the box on GB for $900.

I was thinking of picking one up and machining the .40 cyl to 38-40, but not sure if it?s long enough. I shoot a bunch of 10mm and never the short version. Kind of make up for missing a chance to pair my Buckeye in 32-20, 32 H&R up with its big brother a couple years ago.

Years ago Ruger offered the convertable with a 38-40 cylinder so I'd expect it would work.

It should sell pretty well in 10mm/40 S&W.

I have owned my S&W 610 since the early 1990's. It has Waaaay more 40 S&W shot through it than 10mm.

I am sure that 40 S&W will be more popular than 38-40 for the second cylinder.

I?m sure .40 would be more popular to the citizenship at large, but I have tons of 38-40 and not a single round of 40S&W in my house, so the second cylinder would have to get machined or find a spot to gather dust from now on. I missed out on a Buckeye convertible awhile back (I already have the 32-20 and 32h&r Buckeye so I wanted a pair. This may be an easier way to get there without all the collectibility/cost of the Buckeye version

I like this gun, and had they made it two years ago I suspect I'd own it already. Now, I think I'll have MGM make a 10"/10mm barrel for my Encore.

Then again ...

LOL
