I'm with you, only hunted in Missouri, Illinois, S. Dakota, and Wyoming. I don't see much reason to leave Missouri except for prairie dogs and pheasants although I would like to try some ground squirrels out west and maybe javelina in the southwest.

Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Illinois and Texas. With Alaska being top of my list I really want to expand my hunts to some antelope and mule deer states.

My filter is broken.

TEXAS COUNTS FOR SEVERAL STATES BECAUSE OF THE INCREDIBLE VARIETY OF NATIVE AND EXOTIC GAME AVAILABLE, BUT JUST COUNTING IT AS 1, I HAVE HUNTED ALASKA, TEXAS, WYOMING, COLORADO & NEW MEXICO, PLUS I HAVE HUNTED DUCKS AND GEESE IN NORTH DAKOTA. I HAVE ALSO HUNTED BIRDS IN MEXICO AND BIG GAME IN 4 AFRICAN COUNTRIES (RSA, ZIMBABWE, MOZAMBIQUE & CAR). I DO VERY LITTLE TOURIST TRAVEL, NORMALLY WHEN I TRAVEL IT IS TO HUNT.

I hate to follow up on Ken, but somebody has to so I'll take one for the team.

Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Maine.

Can't wait to see all of Mark's adventures...

PS...I forgot to add Michigan, I've hunted pheasant there many times and even got one with a 14" TC Contender.

I'm somewhat reluctant to post -- but from a statistically standpoint; 6 continents, 36 countries, 24 states, and 5 Canadian Provinces.

I think Mark would be the winner if this was a contest, which it is not. It has been very interesting to see who has been where. Most of you make me look like a home body and like a very single minded person hunting only my whitetails.

?I'm somewhat reluctant to post?.........

Me also.....but for opposite reasons. 😂

Kentucky....n maybe not out of my county🤔

That is it, other than a quail hunting trip in georgia over 20yrs ago. 😳

Small game n deer.....in Ky. Thats most of all i ever needed. Done it most of my life. I have lived real life. Farm, family, work, play....not enough time n money to do it all lol.

Kentucky….no place like home.

JB, To think this old beat up holster started this thread.....
What I can add to this is is when I`am asked "What was your best hunt???" I reply "The next one".... So who knows where you will be next time you sight your handgun in on an animal your hunting..... PS- Maine is not scratched on the holster

I just like seeing where everyone else has been .I would love to hunt every state but that will never happen for me so I travel thru other peoples eyes and stories .I also think its great that some are content to hunt just where they live and have no need or want to travel. So don't be reluctant to post its not about the numbers.
And yes that holster did plant the idea .

Thanks Guys! I printed this out and showed it to my wife to help her put my addiction in perspective.
I've stuck close to home for my trips to field with the exception of p-dogs which aren't local.
Minnesota, Wisconsin (a problem beaver hunting trip that resulted in one grouse) and ND and Montana (P-dog trips).

BESIDES RESOURCES, A LOT OF TRAVEL FOR HUNTING REQUIRES LIFE STYLE CHOICES, AND PLANNING. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO PISS MONEY AWAY ON GOLFING VACATIONS, TRIPS TO VEGAS, TOURIST TRAVEL OF ALL SORTS, EXPENSIVE CARS, etc. MOST OF MY AFRICAN HUNTS WERE BOOKED 18 MONTHS IN ADVANCE, TIME TO PLAN (READ: GET THE MONEY TOGETHER). WHEN I WAS HUNTING AFRICA ON A REGULAR BASIS MY GUN BUYING REALLY SLOWED DOWN. I HAVE NO REGRETS, AND A SHORT FORM BUCKET LIST. NOW I PREFER TO ENJOY MY RANCH, SLOW DOWN AT WORK, AND LET MY RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS GROW. MY AFRICAN DAYS MAY BE OVER BUT BLACK BEAR HUNTS IN ALASKA AND OTHER USA HUNTS ARE AFFORDABLE.

I don't need to remind you of the Balkans in the mid-to-late '90s........

We could start a thread on this but I'm afraid this is a family oriented site and we wouldn't want to induce nightmares!

Here's a teaser, this should jog your memory, Mark.

That's not nice Max, start something and leave us in the dark. Is there a write up somewhere on this exploit?

Just having some fun! There were years of exploits and hairy situations! I was younger and a bit more reckless in those days. Maybe someday I will put pen to paper about some of this stuff.

Well don't wait too long. A lot of those exploits in our younger day should be remembered and passed on so others can enjoy. Some we definitely should not admit to though. I really like learning from others mishaps so I don't have to experience them myself although I get a lot of laughs about some of the things I should not have tried but got away with.

That second photo is Mostar and that was post bridge destruction. I've got a lot of photos I need to scan and post up somewhere. Maybe we should start an odd/interesting pics thread (like the one on singleactions).

My apologies for hijacking this thread.

Some of those exploits could have had dire consequences and I was lucky looking back, particularly during my mine-clearing days. Sometimes I just shake my head and wonder what I was thinking at the time.

A farm building blown to hell with hundreds of bullet holes could be anywhere in the balkans then.

It is fun to see where everyone has gone and several states pop up on a regular basis. But no Hawaii yet what gives?
