I spent the entire deer season being taunted by impudent squirrels. Now that deer season is over I feel compelled to teach the little tree rats a lesson and eat some of them.

I want to get a Ruger single action 22 and see that there is a single ten in addition to the single six. I have had single six guns before and loved them and I certainly don't need ten rounds but I see the Ten has a different front sight. I am wondering what else might be different.

Anyone have or shot both that can tell me how they would compare the two?

Ruger has also reintroduced the Bisley 22. That one is on my short list.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Some for sale in classifieds on the ruger forum dot com

The Single Ten I shot had a free spinning cylinder. Not sure if this was custom work or comes that way. I do like the fiber optic sights.

I once considered getting the single ten or nine myself.I decided in the end to just buy the single six and buy the sights from ruger . You get .22 lr and .22 mag cilenders for the price of one gun. Yes not as fun as 9 or 10 rounds butt just as fun none the less. I have a picture on my page if you want to see it .Happy hunting whatever decision you make !

I ordered the single ten with 4.62" barrel. I love the shorter barrels on single actions. Now I am trying to find a holster. Plenty of 5.5" holsters but not sure they will be good with the shorter barrel.
