Who is really good at doing trigger and action jobs on TC Encore Prohunter?s and Contender G2?s? I have a new TC Prohunter rifle and Contender G2 pistol that both need to be worked over good and sweetened up. They both shoot really well but the triggers are pretty stiff on both of them. Who have you used that?s worth useing and who should I avoid?

What do you guys prefer your trigger pull set to on a hunting gun? It?s usually cold so usually have some type of gloves on and don?t want to get to light. But I figured about 2.5lbs would be about right. Not light enough for any accidents but light enough to work good.

If you have any mechanical aptitude at all the springs are not a problem to install.Get rid of any rough spots or burrs while you are in there.

The meat won't fry if the lead don't fly.

I have looked at the spring kits and I could probably do it myself without any probablems. But when it comes to grinding and polishing removing burrs. A guy that does this for a living and takes pride in his work should be able to do a way better job than me on my first attempt. I don?t mind paying a little for that, to end up with a better gun at the end.
Has anybody had any dealing with Haus of Arms? I bought a barrel from them and talked to them on the phone and they are extremely nice and helpful and really good about emailing you and letting you know what?s going on. It says on their website all their gunsmiths have completed Bellim?s training course and are certified by Bellim. There 2.5lb trigger job, changing springs and grinding and polishing the inside is $100 bucks and I think it said they only have a week or week and a half turn a round.

You also have to add on shipping cost, which can get pretty spendy for an individual. You might be surprised at just how much springs alone can make of an improvement.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I know this post is almost a month old. . .but, there is a fella named Jim Hendershot who does very good work and his turn around time is spot on! I believe he does sub-work for Bellm as well. He has done work for me and doesn't mind talking with you and tells it to you like it is. Here is his web address; http://www.shotsgunsmithing.com
