I have a Ruger Blackhawk 45LC with a 4.62" barrel. I installed a Burris Fastfire III red dot sight on it. I looking for a hip holster that will work with my set up.

I had to build one for my SRH with a FF3 on it.
My filter is broken.

I had a similar situation and I just cut a notch in the top of a leather holster around the sight.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Here is one I made for my Raging Bull with Burris FF3. Not difficult to make at all. And if you are just making one or two and don't need detailed tooling/stamps, they can be made with minimal tools. It wears as a cross-draw and actually has a retaining strap/snap now.
The meat won't fry if the lead don't fly.

I have the same issue with a Smith 617/686 combo with Vortex Venom's. I will be headed to the leather shop and build my own. I've decided I want a cross draw anyway.

Very nice Randy. I'm guessing you have a sewing machine, otherwise those are the nicest hand stitches I've seen!

Well I can?t figure out how to link the pics from the bragging board off my phone but there are two pics over there if you want to see them.
And...nope, no machine. All done by hand.
Sitting in my deer blind right now. Just thought I?d rub it in if you?re not hunting this weekend...
