Today was supposed to be my last deer hunt of the season but due to a really nasty migraine that sent me home from work yesterday, I wasn't in any condition to hunt this morning. Now that deer season is over, its time to really get serious about the predators. I normally carry a rifle and sometimes a shotgun but I always carry my Dan Wesson 15-2 with me. Since today's hunt was supposed to be with the revolver, I'm thinking of making the revolver the dedicated weapon on some of my close-quarters stands. Since I am usually using a rifle with more explosive ammo, I'm wondering what types of .357mag ammo is recommended, would the faster expanding bullets be the more favorable? I have some 110 gr winchester hollowpoints, some 125gr remington golden saber as well as some winchester defense ammo in 130gr .38spec. I'm sure any of these will kill a coyote cleanly but right now thats also where the fur prices are the best.
