In a couple weeks, I'm heading to the SHOT Show in Vegas for the first time in my life. Is anyone at this esteemed forum going in the same direction? I have to assume that the focus of the exhibitions won't be neither on hunting handguns nor handgun hunting, but I assume that there at least will be an infinite number of nice guns to handle or look at...

I went to one in Dallas I guess in the early\mid '90s. It was really neat, but a ton of walking. The highlight was meeting Ross Seyfried. We had a nice conversation. Very pleasant guy. Enjoy it and keep an eye out for your favorite gun people.

Great! As a visitor or an exhibitor? In the latter case, where? Would be great to get your views on the handgun scene in the US today. I'll be there representing the Swedish Pistol Shooting Association - of which I'm the chairman of the board - so I want to have a lot of impressions to write home about...

Mikewin, As a writer I'm gathering info. Lots of walking trying to shuffle thru crowds. I stop occasionally at the FMG Publications booth. It's a huge venue over crowed with herds of people. I mainly try to survive..............

that is my understanding too...so I don't believe in chance in terms of being able to see people. But I will come to the FMG booth as well, I'm a faithful subscriber to several of their publications.

Not me. Going to the ATA show in Indianapolis this week. Still not sure if I will make the NRA annual in Dallas this year. I prefer the NRA annual exhibits over SHOT. Dealers not as busy taking orders and have more time to visit.
